Standing in line at the bank: we all have to do it and nobody likes it, we accept it as part of life in the Turks and Caicos. Be aware, this is about to change. TCI Bank Limited has made a large leap forward in the consumer benefits category with this week’s announcement of its newest service, Mobanking. This cutting edge new service allows customers to handle many of their banking needs right from their mobile phone.

TCI Bank Limited is the first bank in the Islands to offer customers 24‐hours access to their bank accounts from their mobile phones. Powered by LIME, MoBanking will allow customers to text (SMS – Short Message Service) messages to get access to their TCI Bank account balance, view transaction history, find out where TCI Bank ATMs are located and create alerts, including tracking your salary deposits and regular deposits. The customer may also use the MoBanking service on the Internet. The Internet medium will also allow customers the additional functionality of transferring funds among their accounts.

“We’re excited to launch such an innovative product that is the first for the Caribbean and Turks & Caicos. We want to be able to provide our customers with technologically advanced product offerings such as the MoBanking.” – Mr. Henley Richards, Managing Director for TCI Bank Limited, says. One of the biggest benefits of mobile banking is enabling you to make more productive use of your time. Instead of “passing time” while you’re waiting for others or traveling, you can put that time to good use handling your banking needs via mobile banking.

TCI Bank’s Manager of Card Services, IT and the driver of the MoBanking product, Mr. Carson Brathwaite is “excited to see this revolutionary product launch in Turks & Caicos as it is an easy, convenient and fast way for TCI Bank customers to gain information about their account(s).
