| New Youth Parliament selected, receives training |

Twenty-one young adults have been selected from throughout the islands to form the National Youth Parliament 2012, the Department of Youth Affairs has announced. Training sessions for the youth between the ages of 16-25 took place at Windsong resort July 9-12 on topics including parliamentary roles and procedures, Turks and Caicos Islands democracy, the Constitution, electoral procedures, media presentations, public speaking, leaders and leadership, and impacting the community.
