Police constable charged with sexual assault PDF Print E-mail

A Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force constable has been charged with two counts of sexual assault.

Police Constable Sadiq Ebanks appeared June 18 in Magistrate’s Court on Grand Turk to face charges that he attacked a woman on the island in 2008.
He was not required to enter a plea and was released on bail to appear Aug. 2 in the Supreme Court for a sufficiency hearing.

Ebanks was arrested and charged following an investigation by the police Sexual Offences Unit, and he has been suspended from duty.
