1. Cinco de Mayo FIESTA!

On Saturday, May 5, celebrate Mexican heritage and pride TCI style. Seven local restaurants will be participating in the Mexican fiesta island style. 3. TCI Supermodel Contest

Find out who will be TCI’s next supermodel at the TCI Top Model Contest and Extravaganza on Saturday, May 12, at Williams Auditorium. With special appearances by Ashley Smith, Davia Chambers, local and international fashion designers, and an array of internationally known guest performers and emerging talent! 4. Big South Regatta

By plane or ferry, book your trip to enjoy the culturally flavored event on the Big South on May 24-27. Beginning with the Little Miss Regatta Cultural Show on Thursday, this year’s regatta will be packed full of community events for the whole family. Friday will include a fashion and comedy show, music and dancing. Saturday after the opening ceremony, participate in a triathlon, kite flying, dominoes, boat races, tug-o’-war and a Junkanoo contest.
 
5. TCSPCA Annual Dog Show

Put a leash on your favorite canine critters on Saturday, May 26, and head for the Turtle Cove Marina parking lot under the big top from 3-7 p.m. for the Turks and Caicos Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Annual Dog Show. Watch dogs of all shapes and sizes compete for prizes, enjoy food and beverages, and buy all kinds of things on sale to raise money for this important charity.
