Parking fees in the paid lot at the Providenciales International Airport will double on April 1, the Turks and Caicos Airports Authority has announced. “The paid parking lot has been a point of contention for persons wishing to park their vehicles whilst the airport is at its peak times,” the authority said in a March 5 press statement. “To this end the fee for the paid parking lot will be increased from $1 per hour to $2 per hour as of April 1, 2012.” “The TCIAA’s mission is to provide the highest standard in safety, quality and service in airport operations, as a means of enhancing the reputation of the islands and improving the national economy to the benefit of both the government and the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands,” the authority said.
