National Trust launches photo, film, poster competition PDF Print E-mail

The Turks and Caicos Islands National Trust is holding a photo, film and poster competition seeking entries that reflect the country’s biodiversity or cultural heritage.

The competition was launched Dec. 10 at a registration session at the “Hard Times Festival” in the Casablanca parking lot on Providenciales.

“We are inviting anyone with an eye for photography and film, if you are a professional photographer or just an amateur with a camera phone, and you are passionate about the beauty that our Turks and Caicos has to offer, then you can enter the competition,” said Justin Missick, TCI National Trust Integrated Biodiversity Project coordinator.

There is no charge for entry, but entries must not bear any name, logo or distinguishing markings and must be submitted before 5 p.m. Jan. 3 by e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or dropped off at the trust office on a CD at Town Centre Mall, Butterfield Square, on Providenciales.

Each entry must be personally shot by the participant. Photo entries are limited to two per person, and one per person for film competition entries. Include captions detailing where the shot was taken and a description.
