![]() Retiring senior Prison Officer Eric Forbes has been recognised for his 28 years of dedicated service to his Majesty’s Prison and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Forbes was presented with a shield by His Excellency the Gov. Gordon Wetherell during a ceremony at the prison in late July. The governor also toured the prison with Superintendent Ian Sargent to see how funding from the U.K. Overseas Territories Project Fund was spent earlier this year. Some $80,000 financed the completion of new accommodation, security enhancements and closed circuit television, and cell phone jamming equipment. It also assisted with the new Staff Training facility and the expansion of the Prison Farm and farming facilities.
