![]() Brought to you by the National Trust February 2 is World Wetlands Day, marking the date of the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands 40 years ago in the Iranian city of Ramsar on the shores of the Caspian Sea. Each year since 1997, government agencies, non-governmental organizations and groups of citizens from around the globe take advantage of the opportunity to undertake actions to raise public awareness of wetlands’ value and benefits. This year’s theme is Wetlands and Forests, especially chosen because 2011 is the U.N. International Year of Forests. Thanks to these local students who are helping to raise awareness in the Turks and Caicos Islands of the value of our precious wetlands and forests. ![]() Caring for Wetlands - An anwser to climate change Wetlands Celebrate with me The Wetlands
