![]() The Turks and Caicos Tourist Board says the “Sales Blitz” hosted Sept. 20-24 in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut was a tremendous success. “The travel agents are quite optimistic about the upcoming season,” said Pamela Ewing, regional marketing manager for the Tourist Board (New York) said. “They are enthusiastic about our product, as well as the commencement of JetBlue’s service from JFK this winter. The feedback from participants in the events was very positive, specifically relating to the quality and quantity of the agents visited.” The Tourist Board was joined by Parrot Cay’s General Manager Grant Noble; The Regent Palm’s representative Garry Perotin; General Manager of the Tuscany Tierra Misick; Ocean Club representative Lorrie Hicken; Point Grace’s Reservation’s Manager Isheka Thomas; The Somerset and Sands’ representative Deborah Traussi and Melanie Alexander; and the Regent Palms and Villa Renaissance’s representative Andrea and Meghann Hussey. During the four-day event, representatives spent two days in New York, one day in Connecticut and one day in New Jersey, visiting more than 350 travel agents and taking booking inquires.
