Two PPC Ltd. employees have been recently promoted to supervisory positions within the electric utility company.

Walter Wilson, a Salt Cay native who has been with the company for nine years, has been promoted from linesman to Lines Supervisor within the operations department.

Wilson will ensure that safety standards are practised by all staff and will also oversee the operation and maintenance of the transmission and distribution systems. He has completed a four-year training programme with Canada’s highly-acclaimed Electrical & Utilities Safety Association.

After Hurricane Ike in 2008, Wilson volunteered to help restore electrical service on Salt Cay even though it is outside of PPC’s service territory.
Sharon Alli-Jose, PPC’s senior business analyst, has been promoted to Business Performance & Compliance Officer.

From her new position in the newly created Business Systems and Information Technology Division, Alli-Jose will focus on managing enterprise risks, streamlining internal business processes, optimising business performance, and controlling costs.

She previously worked at one of the top-auditing firms, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, as manager for Enterprise Risk Services. She is a certified Internal Auditor and holds a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting from the University of the City of Manila, Philippines.
