Possibly the most prominent symbol of what many call the “Misick Era” in the Turks and Caicos has now been put on the market.

Located in Leeward, Belview Villa was built by the former Premier Michael Misick as his permanent residence in 2007. Controversy has surrounded the house, with many asking the question, how he afforded the building of such an exclusive roperty. Misick revealed during questioning in this years’ Commission of Inquiry that he bought the land from Leeward Limited and received two loans for the financing of the construction, one for $5 million in the spring of 2007 and a second $4.7 million.

Now the property is listed by a New York real estate agency, Avalon Partners, who say they represent “owners, investors, and developers of unique properties, luxurious villas, ocean front estates, exceptional homes, development sites, and luxury residential properties.”

The home is listed as an “idyllic retreat in the Turks and Caicos Islands.” The house sits on 2.5 acres of land, with an adjacent .68 acres available. The home is described as being gated and has its own private road and waterway access.

For those who were not fortunate enough to experience the home for themselves, pictures of the interior and exterior reveal the property can be compared to some of the most luxurious in the world.

Although a large array of photos can be found on AOL’s Internet site luxist.com (click here to see the photos), we were denied permission from the listing agent to republish the photos, saying “We are bound by a confidentiality agreement and no information in our possession can be used.” Those inquiring making serious inquiries must be willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

The property includes an 11,000 square-foot main house/villa with a glass bottom pool, commercial restaurant quality kitchen facilities, three master bedrooms with ensuite baths the size of some entire condos, a library, sitting room, living room, a screening room, a secret stairway, cigar/wine room, servants' quarters and an elevator. There are two additional guest homes, each 2,500 square feet with their own private reflection pools. The estate is being sold fully furnished, including art, goods and equipment.

It seems, given the description, that the compound is not only meant to attract individuals with deep pockets and an appetite for over the top luxury, but is being touted as “perfect for boutique resort/spa, corporate compound, or medical tourism site.” The offering even suggests the property can support a private helipad and additional build-out.

Of course the obvious question is what the price tag for such luxury would be. According to the listing, the asking price is $15.75 million for the estate and an additional $1 million for the additional .68 acre, with private financing available.
