Ranging from topics on bugs to the solar system, the exhibit proved a success as parents, teachers and school administrators gazed in awe. “This is unlocking the curiosity in children”, said Nicola Hanna, principal of the school. She added that the Fair became an avenue where students translated their questions and answers to certain phenomena into colorful art projects. “It is very beneficial,” Hanna said, pointing out that the projects were a family affair. “It was a family project. Parents were just as involved as their child.” The projects were the result of a month-long hard work. “A lot of thought went into it,” the principal said. For Grades 1-3, projects depicted topics that were covered during the school year, while K5 projects focused on “Animals in the Turks and Caicos Islands,” which according to the principal was part of their TCI studies curriculum. Hanna thanked parents for their support and the panel of judges, teachers and non-governmental organizations for their assistance.
