Ken and Abby Adams of Building Materials Do It Center received international awards and citation for their company, Building Materials Ltd. Do It Center, which garnered First Prize in the International Warehouse Purchases category.
The couple, who are the owners of the establishment, were honored at the 2009 Do It Best October Market held in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA as a Member Purchase Awards winner. “Building Materials Do It Center is delighted to be recognized by Do It Best Corp.,” Mr. & Mrs. Adams said. “Our success is a tribute to our employees’ hard work and our customers’ loyalty. We thank them for their continued support.” Jay Brown, Do it Best Corp. Vice President of Sales and Retail Development, said that retailers like Building Materials Do it Center Turks & Caicos are building on the co-op’s 64-year legacy. “Do It Best Corp. is fortunate to be exclusively member-owned, which fosters a truly entrepreneurial spirit. Building Materials’ growth is a reflection of the success that Do It Best Corp. retailers are experiencing in markets around the world,” Brown said. “We’re proud to have them as one of our member-owners.” In addition to capturing the Top International Wholesale Purchases Award, BML also claimed First prize for Top International Paint Purchases for the outstanding sales of Do It Best Quality Paints. Building Materials Do It center has locations on the islands of Providenciales and Grand Turk and has been serving customers in the Turks and Caicos Islands for 25 years. The company has been a Do It Best Corp. member since 1997. Do it Best Corp. is the second largest co-op in the industry, serving 4,100 member-owned locations in the United States and in 46 foreign countries.
